Fantastic 4 Movie Gets Its First Trailer

by Jeff Cork on Jan 27, 2015 at 04:33 AM

Twentieth Century Fox has released the first trailer for its upcoming film adaption based on Marvel Comics' The Fantastic Four. It shows a tiny bit of each character before they became fantastic, and provides a general sense of the movie's tone.

Keep an eye out for Ben Grimm's garage, as well as the moment pictured above, when an airplane is sucked into a massive vortex of some kind. From the few clues in the trailer, it's clear that this is more of a reimagining of the series instead of a straight-up clone of previous Fantastic Four movies.

The movie was directed by Josh Trank, who directed Chronicle. It stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebbell. Michael B. Jordan, who appeared in Chronicle and Fruitvale Station plays Johnny Storm.

Fantastic Four is hitting theaters August 7.
