If the current trend holds true the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have some new fans in the Pacific Northwest. Of course a few things need to happen first. Among the many Mock Drafts CBS Sportsline has Oregon Ducks Quarterback Marcus Mariota going first to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Of course, Mariota would have to declare for the NFL Draft, which he has not yet done. He said he will make the decision with his family at the end of the season. One team has gone public with a campaign to get the Oregon QB. The New York Jets have started the ‘Suck for a Duck’ campaign, but it does not appear to be working.

Another team that could benefit from Mariota, the Oakland Raiders, have started winning in the last few weeks, working themselves out of contention for that top pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Of course one team that would be a perfect fit for Mariota would be Philadelphia with his former coach in Chip Kelly.

Kelly, following the game this week will have five months to think of ways to land his former signal caller. Philadelphia will not make the playoffs and it would not be much of a surprise to see a trade for that top pick to get Mariota. The question is, how much will any team have to pay to get the coveted Heisman Trophy winner in their respective team colors?

But first things first, Oregon has a game to play and a National Title to fight for.

Oregon and Florida State will play in a College Football Playoff Semifinal on New Year’s Day. (2pm Pacific Time, ESPN)
