Once more, Murmure managed to achieve an elegant, creative and significant graphic and artistic creation that time will continue to perfect.
Normandie Aménagement trusted Murmure to achieve an artistic intervention on the former guardhouses of the former Société Métallurgique de Normandie. These guardhouses were the entrance to this Mecca of the metallurgical savoir-faire in the whole region. Through this plastic art intervention using the image of the hand – the symbol of hospitality and openness – Murmure wished to pay tribute to all the workers and all the people who worked there over several generations. Made in paper, this ephemeral work fits into the structure of these buildings, thus respecting the existing architecture. Made up in a set of graphic patterns, this work evokes both the timelessness and the future of the place, thus displaying all its creative potential. The visual performance on distance allows several levels of reading. From afar, you understand the graphic purpose instantaneously. As you get closer to the guardhouses, the magnitude of the work turns out to be utterly different. Several interesting concepts are highlighted: its ephemeral nature, its interaction with the materials along with its merger into the raw material.
