It would be the final game for Oregon Senior Liz Brenner, who has played several sports at the University of Oregon in her career as a Duck including Basketball, Track and Field and Volleyball. Brenner was a key for Oregon all season. She finished second in Oregon Ducks History in points with 1,175,5 and third in kills with 1,617. Brenner was the leader but Martenne Bettendorf set the pace. She had sixteen kills in three rounds of the NCAA Tournament this season.
Oregon trailed slightly in hitting throughout the match with North Carolina leading .229 to .205.
Oregon started the season just on the outside of the Top 25 and ended their season ranked in the Top Ten. For a team that was a good mix of talent, both old and new Head Coach Jim Moore was not sure what he was going to get playing two Big Ten teams in the first month of the season. 2014 had some really good tests for the Oregon Volleyball team. Next season brings back a majority of talent for Moore who will look to take Oregon farther into the NCAA Tournament in 2015.
