Matt Jarvis: 'West Ham United in positive spirits'

Matt Jarvis reveals that West Ham are in positive spirits ahead of their trip to West Brom in the Premier League.

West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis has revealed that the team is in positive spirits ahead of tonight's trip to West Bromwich Albion.

The Hammers made a return to winning ways on Saturday as a 1-0 victory at home to Newcastle United pushed them up to fourth place in the Premier League table.

While he believes that West Brom will give his side a tough encounter at The Hawthorns, Jarvis is confident that West Ham can leave with the spoils.

"The Hawthorns is a tough place to go to, every single game is tough," he told the club's official website. "We'll go there in good spirits having recovered from the game on Saturday, making sure we put in a good performance and try to get the points.

"It was fantastic to get back to winning ways at the weekend. Newcastle were on such a good run of form, so it was great to get back in front of our home fans and win."

Jarvis has made just three appearances for West Ham this season due to a string of injury problems.
