PAC-12 Football Weekend Recap Week 13

We look back at another fun week of football across the conference, we’re still a week away from learning who’ll represent the south division in Santa Clara.

Here are all the results from this weekend of PAC-12 conference play.

Saturday, November 22 –

Washington State Cougars (3-8, 2-6 PAC-12) 31 @ 13 Arizona State Sun Devils (9-2, 6-2 PAC-12) 52: Early on it was all Cougars who jumped out to a 21-7 lead before the Sun Devils outscored them 45-10. Arizona State’s offense only put up 330 yards but forced five Wazzu turnovers to help fuel the victory and remain in the south division race. Taylor Kelly tossed four touchdowns while D.J. Foster ran for three. WSU’s Vince Mayle had 252 yards on 15 receptions and Isiah Myers caught seven for 111. Next up for Washington State is the Apple Cup hosting Washington (7-5, 3-5 PAC-12) Saturday at 7:30 pm/FOX Sports 1. No. 13 Arizona State travels to Tucson to face rival No. 11 Arizona (9-2, 6-2 PAC-12) in the Territorial Cup at 12:30 pm/FOX on Friday.

Stanford Cardinal (6-5, 4-4 PAC-12) 38 @ California Golden Bears (5-6, 3-6 PAC-12) 17: Both teams put up over 400 yards of total offense in the latest installment of the “Big Game” in Berkeley. Stanford built a 31-7 lead before Cal added some points late. Kevin Hogan was an efficient 15-of-20 for 214 yards in the victory which gets the Cardinal bowl eligible. Daniel Lasco had another big day rushing going for 103 and found the endzone once. Stanford will close out the regular season on Friday at No. 8 UCLA (9-2, 6-2 PAC-12) at 12:30 pm/ABC. California is done with conference play and hosts BYU (7-4) needing a win to be bowl eligible at 1:30 pm/PAC-12 Network on Saturday.

15 Arizona Wildcats (9-2, 6-2 PAC-12) 42 @ 17 Utah Utes (7-4, 4-4 PAC-12) 10: On a cold and snowy day in Salt Lake City Arizona got an important win which keeps them alive to represent the south division in a few weeks. The Wildcats got out to a 21-0 lead before the Utes scored 10 unanswered points. ‘Zona put the game away with Nick Wilson scored two of his three touchdowns in the fourth quarter that the U of A outscored the home team 21-0. Wilson finished with 218 yards on 20 carries as Arizona reached nine wins. Devontae Booker was held out of the endzone but did end with 142 yards on 23 attempts. No. 11 Arizona hosts their in-state rivals No. 13 Arizona State (9-2, 6-2 PAC-12) on Friday at 12:30 pm/FOX. No. 25 Utah closes out the regular season with their Rocky Mountain showdown at Colorado (2-9, 0-8 PAC-12) Saturday at 10 am/PAC-12 Network.

Colorado Buffaloes (2-9, 0-8 PAC-12) 10 @ 2 Oregon Ducks (10-1, 7-1 PAC-12) 44): This game was never in question for the north division champions who coasted to a 34-point home win. Marcus Mariota was 24-of-32 for 323 yards passing with three touchdowns and rushed for 73 more adding another score. Royce Freeman carried it 17 times adding 105 yards with two TD’s for the balanced Ducks offense. Oregon held the Buffaloes Nelson Spruce to just 16 yards which he caught only two passes. Colorado will look for their first conference win against No. 25 Utah (7-4, 4-4 PAC-12) Saturday at 10 am/PAC-12 Network. No. 2 Oregon travels Saturday to Corvallis for this years Civil War against Oregon State (5-6, 2-6 PAC-12) at 5 pm/ABC.

19 Southern California Trojans (7-4, 6-3 PAC-12) 20 @ 9 UCLA Bruins (9-2, 6-2 PAC-12) 38: Lots of south division implications at the Rose Bowl on Saturday night with the winner having a leg up. These two cross-town rivals put on an entertaining opening half before UCLA’s defense set in. Brett Hundley improved to 3-0 versus USC as he threw for 326 yards tossing three TD’s. Cody Kessler had 214 yards in the defeat with a touchdown pass and interception. Southern California ends the regular season against rival Notre Dame (7-4) on Saturday at 12:30 pm/FOX. No. 8 UCLA needs a win against Stanford (6-5, 4-4 PAC-12) to clinch the south division on Friday at 12:30 pm/ABC.

Oregon State Beavers (5-6, 2-6 PAC-12) 13 @ Washington Huskies (7-5, 3-5 PAC-12) 37: Both teams needed a win in order to secure bowl eligibility. Washington wasted little time taking charge of this game by scoring the first 17 points and getting that important seventh victory. Cyler Miles averaged 11 yards a completion ending with 253 yards tossing two TD’s. Dwayne Washington had hit the century mark right on the nose with 100 yards plus a score. Sean Mannion threw it 46 times for 314 yards as the Beavers will need a win next week in order to reach a bowl game. Oregon State hosts No. 2 Oregon (10-1, 7-1 PAC-12) in the Civil War needing an upset win Saturday to be bowl eligible at 5 pm/ABC. Washington travels to the Pulluz on Saturday to face Washington State (3-8, 2-6 PAC-12) in the Apple Cup at 7:30 pm/FOX Sports 1.
