DENVER, CO - NOVEMBER 19: Head coach Brian Shaw of the Denver Nuggets talks to Randy Foye #4 of the Denver Nuggets as they face the Oklahoma City Thunder at Pepsi Center on November 19, 2014 in Denver, Colorado. The Nuggets defeated the Thunder 107-100 for their third win in the last four games. Denver Nuggets guard Randy Foye is set to miss three weeks with a slight tear in his right quad.

Christopher Dempsey of The Denver Post reports Foye has been dealing with the injury for much of the month. Before Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, he said, "It was the best I felt since the Cleveland game. It was still affecting my shot a little bit. I could tell when I pushed off."

He tweaked the injury again in that game, however, and now will be sidelined well into December.

Foye has been a solid role player for the Nuggets this season, averaging 8.4 points and 2.0 assists in 19.0 minutes per game in 11 contests. For a Denver team that has started 6-7, losing the veteran guard will certainly hurt. The hope will be that Foye can return in three weeks with his quad issue fully behind him.
