Up to Speed: 30 Rock losing its Rock (Video)

Since 1933, the Rockefeller family has occupied the 56th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, but even one of America's iconic names needs to get a good deal on a lease.

The office space, used by the family for charitable and entrepreneurial activities, will join the wealth-management firm Rockefeller & Co. at One Rockefeller Plaza, which is south of the more famous address. Altogether, the Rockefellers will occupy about 75,000 square feet of space at One Rockefeller Plaza. And just to answer the question you might have: Yes, the Rockefellers have to lease the space, as the family does not own the complex. After a series of sales, it landed in the hands of Tishman Speyer in 1996. -- Bloomberg
