Snowed In

Snowed InFor some people there is nothing better than being snowed in, cozy in their favorite retreat without any possibility of intrusion. For others being snowed in is a nightmare in which they are cut off from contact with everything that brings joy in life.

Are you more of an introvert who finds the comfort of home in private retreat, or an extravert who finds home in the company of others?

  1. Where I live there are several possibilities to existing during snowed in times. If the gravel driveway is moderately covered with snow, I continue my daily comings and goings. If it too deep, I wait it out and expect that it is temporary. I always find “things to do” at home. However, at a certain time, I feel the urge to get out among people in the marketplace. It is a combination of feeling “cozy” and impatient to be on the go again. In some ways I envy those who live in the country and can adapt and enjoy the beauty of the season.

  2. I am very gregarious introvert who spends most of my time rebooting my engine at home- (ignore the book “Quiet”- I talk way too much when out and about)
My heart goes out to those in Buffalo who are having trouble .-I live in southern Maine( an hour + north of Boston) and irritate some friends because i love winter and snow- but I am fortunate to live where i am not in any danger from bad weather. –
I really don’t understand the rush on markets for a little storm- beans and canned tomatoes are always in the cupboard.
I dislike the very ugly noise generators make so when the heat and power go out i have a tiny emergency propane heater- close off all but two rooms and move myself and plants and cat dog there- and feel so cozy-
