The Oregon Ducks enter the game Friday night with a 2-0 start after beating both Coppin State and Detroit by double digits and averaging the sixth best points per game average in the country at ninety-five points. Senior Joseph Young led Oregon against Coppin State with thirty two points, but started the game against Detroit 0-7, he did find a way to rebound in the second half.

Now, enter a team that lost to the fifteenth ranked team in the country by nine points 87-78. The Rockets are led by Junior Nathan Booth who is averaging 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Senior Julius Brown is averaging 13.5 points per game. Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman knows the Ducks will have to play a good game.

Earlier this week he talked about Toledo’s twenty-seven wins last season and their Senior leadership being a key to the early afternoon start at Matthew Knight Arena. If Young can have a performance similar to Coppin State, Oregon could pull off a nice early season victory. After today it gets harder.

Oregon heads to New York for the final rounds of the Legends Classic to take on Michigan, and either VCU or Villanova.

Oregon and Toledo tip off from Matthew Knight Arena at 4:00pm Pacific Time Friday.
