Oregon Ducks Starting Center Hroniss Grasu was upbeat in speaking with the media earlier this week. The injured Senior will not play against Colorado for his final appearance in Autzen Stadium. Backup Doug Brenner will get the start at Center this week. Grasu was injured in the second half against Utah two weeks ago. At the time the injury appeared serious, but Grasu says he will be back this season.

“The seasons not over for me. I’ll do whatever I can to get back as soon as I can. I’ve had a lot of great memories at Autzen. It will still be a great memory for me as well as the entire team.” Grasu says the injury occured when his foot got caught in the turf, “Trying to make a block, things got caught in the turf. It’s unfortunate. It’s a sport. I’ll be back as soon as I can.” He is listening to his doctors and when asked about a possible return for the Civil War against Oregon State next week he replied, ‘I’m Day to Day”.

The Oregon Ducks are in the home stretch of the regular season and host Colorado this weekend before visiting Oregon State next weekend. Grasu may not be needed until the first round of the College Football Playoff in early January, should Oregon be named in the top four to make the College Football Playoff in early Decenmber.

Oregon suffered several injuries to starters against Utah two weeks ago. Cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu was injured but will play against Colorado and Tight End Pharaoah Brown was lost for the season after a devastating leg injury. He is resting and recovering in his hometown of Cleveland.

Oregon hosts Colorado on Saturday at 1:30pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks. AutzenZoo will have Live Coverage of the game starting at 12:30pm.
