I like them. Fun stories to entertain. The little footprints one was really cool. I should look up more on it, some actual documentation perhaps.

Most of those appeared on 'Unsolved Mysteries' back in the early 90s, but still very cool information. I know the Gnome footage has been lampooned in various forms all over youtube.

I don't what my reaction to being the rescue party who had to be the first to go aboard after that! Probably Lets' get outa and sink this thing before it does to us what it did to them.

the man disappearing in front of two witnesses got me, just makes you wonder, many people go missing never to be seen again and no trace of what happened, which would of been the case with this man if two people were not there to see it.

I laughed when I read that story, I just had an image of two guys making up the most craziest story to cover up the fact they murdered him.

Of course that didn't happen, I don't think someone would be stupid enough to make up a story like that? right?....well it's a mystery. I do hope the nothing really bad happened to him.

And then the story with the creature in the wall, that made me laugh too.

And also the devil steps in the snow also made me laugh at how the people automatically called it a devil because they didn't know what it was haha. It must be evil because it's unknown!

But the story about that ship really is creepy, I've heard that one before, also the bridge story I saw on TV is really strange, one theory was that some noise or something might make the dogs act strange, but it's a weak theory.

Those were way cool. I'd heard a couple of them, like someone mentioned on 'Unsolved Mysteries' back in the 90's.

Still, I've always said that there are TONS of freaky, unexplained things that go on daily that the mainstream populace never hears about. For all it's boasting and bravado, Mainstream Science just can't explain everything off as easily as they claim.

I've thought for several years now that the world we're TOLD we live in is not the world that IS. I say always keep an open mind, don't believe every explanation you hear and if you truly believe you saw what you saw then that's enough. You don't have to ask someone to validate your belief.

Thanks for the link. Loved 'em......the one that's got my brain going 90 to Nothing is the guy running an falling and disappearing mid fall. Me, I suspect he accidentally found, fell through a dimensional rift. I think these are the reasons behind the 'time travelers' we hear about. But, that's just me.

I always thought one of the strangest mysteries I ever heard was that of Brian Shaffer (2006). He was a med student who one night went to a bar which a number of video camera's recorded, however he was never seen leaving the place and none of the Video camera's captured him exiting.. The way the bar was it was impossible to exit without being seen by at least one camera. It's been 4 years and still no trace.

You all should try looking up Bell Witch Tennessee. Really, really creepy legend. I swear it's even scarier than the Blair Witch. I think that is where they came up with the idea for that movie.

i stay 10 mins drive away from overtoun bridge, ive never heard of it before but my gf has. she works for the council and says shes had a few phone calls about it.

if theres enough interest i dont mind taking a wee drive along and having a nosey. take some pics and see what i make of the place. maybe not tonight (be dark in an hour) but could make it one day this week.

I remember hearing an explanation for this. Apparently, from the dogs perspective (because they are so low down I presume), it appears to them that they are not on a bridge at all. The slopes on either side of the gap produce an optical illusion that they are on flat land, or something.

I saw it on T.V and they showed the effect. You should get up there and have a look, see if that explanation is plausible or not.

Creepiest of all, the ship seems to have disappeared from all ship registers.

Stories like these are very fine entertainment.
Just do not take them too seriously.
As a friend of mine says, legends do speak A truth... just not necessarily the factual truth.

You've got my vote, that story about the dogs leaping from the bridge was pretty interesting.
