Stanford Defense Banged Up Entering Game vs Oregon Ducks

The Oregon Ducks have several players who are banged up on Defense, including Erick Dargan who was seen yesterday walking with a substantial limp. The Stanford Cardinal have had their own issues with Defense this season as well, but the bigger question entering the game on Saturday at Autzen Stadium may be their offense. They are averaging about five less points per game and enter Eugene with a three losses on the season, two in the Pac 12 against Arizona State and USC an away loss against Notre Dame.

David Shaw will also have one less weapon on Defense in their most solid tackler as Safety Zach HoffPauir as well as several Lineman according the SFGate.com. If the Oregon Ducks Offensive Line can get a good push from the start of the game it could be enough of an advantage for Oregon Ducks  to win a game in the series for the first time the last three seasons. A victory would also keep Oregon on pace in the College Football Playoff.

If Stanford pulls out the victory the Pac-12 will likely be left out of the College Football Playoff. Oregon is the highest ranked one loss team to Alabama and Conference foe Arizona. The Oregon Ducks and Stanford kickoff on Saturday at 4:30pm Pacific Time on FOX.
