De’Anthony Thomas Plays Role in Kansas City Win vs San Diego

Earlier this season Kansas City Chiefs Running Back/Return Man and former Oregon Ducks start De’Anthony Thomas scored his first NFL Touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers after coming off a month long hamstring injury. On Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, Thomas was again on the field. He fielded several punt returns, as well as saw a few plays at Running Back.

DAT has two Kickoff returns that averaged eighteen yards and three punt returns that averaged fifteen yards each. His long return of the day was a twenty-seven yard punt return. He also had a twenty-one yard kickoff return. In the running back slot the team is set with Jamaal Charles who rushed for ninety-six yards and a touchdown. Thomas did have a rush for five yards and had some catches out of the backfield. One play was for fifteen yards.

Kansas City is now 3-3 on the season following a 23-20 win over San Diego. The Chiefs host the St Louis Rams on Sunday, October 26th at 1pm Pacific Time. St Louis is coming off a victory on Sunday over the Seattle Seahawks and will take to the road. Kansas City is currently third in the AFC West.
