Oracle for October 2014 – Wisdom

Wisdom is a word bandied about a lot, I think. Most folks assign it to the elderly or to those over a certain age; but truth be told, wisdom is not an age-related concept. It is a state-of-being concept. While more folks over 50 think there is no wisdom in any age younger than that age. Folks who think that are really unaware of what wisdom is and its power to be unleashed if you are paying attention. And we are, right?
As we know, the Oracle always likes to look at how a word is defined in the dictionary because it gives us a foundation to build an understanding of what our practices are this month with more clarity than just thinking we know what the word means. It is always important to not go by words we don’t know the meaning of. That’s how we learn new words and build our vocabulary.
So, seeking our quest for a definition of wisdom, the first choice was Webster’s II New Riverside Dictionary. There, wisdom is defined as: Insightful understanding of what is true, right, enduring. Also “native good judgment.” When one is wise one has awareness and discernment. See, nothing in its definition is age related. It sounds like something that we are and do. You are reading this Oracle, right? Do you get a feeling about what “Insightful” means? If Wisdom is insightful, understand that we should know that insightful is defined as: “Having or showing a deep understanding, perceptive.” We can certainly see how Wisdom then, being insightful with good judgment, plays into the conclusion of the various practices that we have worked on this year.
This year of breakthroughs and/or breakdowns has had us practicing energetic concepts to deepen and broaden who we are in Spirit and in the world. We have moved through lots of different energies this year so far. We started 2014 by grounding our visions, being flexible as we walk along, integrating integrity and conviction to our spiritual toolkits and then contemplating it all. The Oracle had us opening our energies to more and more Spirit downloads and then diverging from it in order to move into being more and more authentic. More and more REAL. And then, with all of that behind us or within us, as the case may be, we moved into alignment. It is certainly clear that this year has truly brought us to new levels of understanding which has led us to a new level of Wisdom and this is the perception this month to integrate further into our spiritual and experiential psyches.
We really are “wise old souls.” We have reached a place in our spiritual lives where we are attaining the highest levels of human consciousness and are able to be our own teachers and guides. The truth is when they said “We are the ones we have been waiting for…” it really pertains to being our own teachers, our own guides…we have moved from the grasshopper to the guru…our very own guru.
Now lots of folks may not be ready to take on the mantle of guru, but it is truly there for anyone who has done the work. If you are just beginning on the path, know that the answers to everything reside within us. There are those of us who have been on the path for a long time and can help support you to finding your own truth, but it is your truth now, not what has been said to have been the truth or what someone else says is the truth.
It is not outside of us, it is within us. No one really has the answers for us, only we do. Others can, of course be sign posts or guides to help us listen more to our own intuition, our own inner knowing, but that is really all we need as we have all the wisdom we need to move us to wherever we want to go.
As we tap more and more into the realization that, indeed, we are wise, wondrous, old souls, we can allow ourselves to grow in a more expansive and explosive direction. The wonders of the world both physical and non-physical await our penetrating evaluation through our native intelligence that wisdom has imparted to us as conscious beings.
Since we humans are all over the place with our energies, our feelings, our thoughts – enough to drive some people crazy, to know and to understand that our inherent wisdom is to be tapped every step of the way in our life and that is what the month of October is all about.
We are moving to new landscapes, new lives, and the new world. It is the inherent wisdom that every human has that is to be tapped by those who have an opportunity to read this. October is yet again a time to shift, shift, shift – not indiscriminately, but shift ourselves into listening to our inherent wisdom, letting it guide us along our path. We certainly know right from wrong, this “Wisdom” is way beyond that. It is as much taking the high road as it is about incorporating ethics, integrity, nurturing and mentorship into our lives every step of the way. Like last month, it is about aligning our wisdom self with the path we live into a reflection of the highest good for our life, for our family, for our planet, solar system, galaxy, cosmos. Oh, yes!
So, the Oracle of Wisdom is here to point us in the direction of quietly going within to that place where we know we know. If you do not have that place, then this month of October is a time to explore, understand and accept that you do, indeed, have those perceptive insights. That you do have a native common sense of the rightness of things that you really do have knowledge beyond your years because it is inherent in the spiritual nature of the human being who is paying attention to that level of consciousness.
As we travel through and watch the massive changes happening on this Planet, the anchoring of this energy, this wisdom, this law of intuitive knowledge, is a critical component for our ability to stay grounded in knowing that All Is Really Well. Be at peace. In balancing and grounding our Spirit, our True Self, through this process of accessing our very own resources of wisdom, each of us helps balance and ground Gaia, the Planet, as well as all other humans who do not know about the energies and forces at play in the universe at this time. We recommend you begin this month, if you have not done so before. And, if you have been tapping into your wisdom for a long time, we recommend you tell others and “turn up the volume.”
Those of us with our heart’s wisdom, with our Spirit, will be able to support the birthing of the new world. Taking time to reflect on what is in front of you, not just reacting to what is there, is part of the new process of accessing your wisdom this month. So many times we react without touching our heart as to what is really happening.
As we allow our wisdom to guide our path this month, we will find slowly, but surely, a new level of spiritual confidence and consciousness. This will hold us well as we move into the energies of November and closing down this year of 2014.
Mercury is going retrograde October 4th and lasts until October 25th so this is an important practice as we move through these times with reflective energy. As with all such signposts, expand your spiritual consciousness and remember, always, that Love and Trust will follow your wisdom. Feel It, Know It!!! And constantly remind yourself as you move into your heart center to respond to situations this month: You are a wise old soul!!!
Let your mantra for the month of October be: I AM calm and reflective as I allow my wisdom to guide my way, step by step, through every life situation…And So It Is!!!
