Athlon Sports has Alabama at the top spot, followed by Oklahoma, Oregon and Florida State in the two, three and four spots respectively. Oregon has one first place vote and nine third place votes solidifying the number three spot. The Seminoles, despite winning all of their games this season have had some issues with Starting Quarterback Jameis Winston off the field causing his suspension for an entire game two weeks ago which may or may not have influenced the rankings.

It is clear Florida State has not acted like the top team in the nation but remain in the top spot in the Associated Press poll this week with both Oregon and Alabama picking up first place votes on the Semimoles. At the moment the Oregon Ducks sit comfortably in the number three position with a statement game this week.

Oregon takes on Arizona, who beat them last season. This year the game is at Autzen Stadium on Thursday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm Pacific Time on ESPN.
