Chris Martin has reportedly been Jennifer Lawrence's rock as she copes with her nude picture scandal.
At the beginning of the month the 24-year-old actress was one of many stars targeted by a hacker who publicly posted multiple photos of her naked. The unknown person struck again more recently, with Jennifer apparently devastated that her private shots were taken from her iCloud account.
The Oscar-winning star has been romantically linked to Coldplay's Chris recently and he has apparently been there for her throughout the scandal.
"Chris has been right there for Jen. She doesn't know how she would have got through this without him," an insider told British magazine Grazia.
"Chris is being totally calm and like a rock. He has deep feelings for Jennifer and is broken-hearted that she's been targeted in such an intrusive way."
After the initial shots were posted on a photo-sharing website, it was claimed Jennifer had sought refuge at Chris' Malibu home. He wasn't there at the time as he was spending time with his estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their kids. It seems the stars hoped the situation would run out of steam, but as that hasn't happened he is making sure Jennifer has all the support she needs.
"Jennifer is one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood, so of course she is worried about what people think. She also feels violated and betrayed. Privately, she tried to laugh it off the first time, but to have it happen a second time is horrific," a source explained.
Chris and Gwyneth announced they were "consciously uncoupling" in March. Since then they have worked hard to stay on good terms and have been seen together a lot as they are putting their son Moses and daughter Apple first.
Gwyneth is apparently determined to bond with Jennifer too - even inviting her over for Christmas. The younger star is apparently unsure about that, but is ready to go public with Chris. They were reportedly spotted kissing in public recently, and photos of them at a music festival and boarded a private jet were published.
"Chris and Jennifer have been working through the issues they had before and he's proved how important she is to him. He's fiercely private, but by going public with their relationship, Chris is showing Jennifer and everyone else that he's serious about their future," the insider said.
