After an impressive preseason debut for former Oregon Ducks Running Back De’Anthony Thomas the injury bug struck in the final hour on the final day of practice before the season opener last weekend. Thomas tweaked a hamstring and did not play. Fast forward to this week and a big game against the Denver Broncos and it looks like the former Oregon Ducks speedster will be out for another week.

More from Oregon Ducks in the NFL

De’Anthony Thomas had an eye opening kickoff return for a touchdown in the preseason against Cincinnatti Bengals in the preseason and did not practice on Wednesday. He will be on the sidelines again today according to Fansided Sister Site Arrowhead Addict. The Chiefs suffered a loss in their season opener to the Tennessee Titans last weekend 26-10 and will look to rebound. This will be the second week in a row without De’Anthony Thomas and his services. Arrowhead Addict says there is no timetable set for his return.

The Chiefs have injuries on other areas as well that should pose a concern this weekend against a Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Jeff Allen is on IR with a torn bicep(likely for the year) and Joe Mays could return following week six. Denver enters the game mostly healthy.

Kansas City and Denver kickoff at 1:25 Pacific Time on CBS.
