Former Abortion Director Pleads Guilty for Fake Bomb Scare at Own Clinic

By Kathleen Gilbert

TULSA, Oklahoma, October 8, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A former abortion facility director in Oklahoma has admitted to faking a bomb scare at her own facility.

Linda Meek, the former head of Reproductive Services of Tulsa, on Thursday pled guilty to falsely reporting a bomb threat last month. Meek admitted that she had hid an egg timer in a trash can at her own facility and that she called police to “report” the suspicious package. Following her report the buildings were evacuated until officials determined there was no threat.

Reproductive Services of Tulsa had been the site of an actual bombing in 1997.

U.S. Chief District Judge Claire Eagan scheduled Meek, who could face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, for sentencing in January.
