Terrell Suggs wears T-shirt showing Mike Tomlin's sideline block on Jacoby Jones

The last time the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers met on the football field, Mike Tomlin was caught subtly trying to impede the progress of Jacoby Jones during what would have been a 101-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. That Thanksgiving night stunt cost the Pittsburgh Steelers coach $100,000, but for Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs, the full debt hasn’t been paid.

With the next chapter of the NFL’s most entertaining rivalry just two days away, Suggs took the podium on Tuesday wearing a shirt depicting the infamous incident, along with the words “WE WILL NEVER FORGET, THE NORTH REMEMBERS.”

The shirt provided a moment of levity during an otherwise sobering week, however its owner provides his own reminder of just how serious the issues at hand are.

Suggs married his wife a month after she alleged the former Pro Bowler punched her in the neck and dragged her alongside a car he was driving while their two children sat inside.

In the past, Suggs has worn other personalized shirts for Steelers week. (Maybe he majored in T-shirt design at Ball So Hard University?) This slightly-profane one was a classic of the genre.

Tomlin’s attempted sideline block didn’t alter the outcome of last year’s Thanksgiving game, which Baltimore won 22-20.
