Thursday, August 28 –

Idaho State Bengals (0-1) 14 @ Utah Utes (1-0) 56: After Idaho State tied the game at seven the Utes ran off 35 unanswered points to put away the Bengals. Travis Wilson was 13-of-18 for 265 yards one touchdown, with 111 of those going to Dres Anderson. Three quarterbacks saw action in the game for Utah. Area of concern for the Utes will be defense after they allowed ISU to rack up 337 (158 passing/179 rushing). Next up for Utah is Fresno State (0-1) 9/6 at Noon/PAC-12 Network

Rutgers Scarlet Knights (1-0) 41 v. Washington State Cougars (0-1) 38 (CenturyLink Field/Seattle, WA): Definitely the best game on Thursday with Rutgers holding an 11-point lead early, Washington State up late before a turnover helped the Scarlet Knights. The Cougars were up 38-34 seemingly in control before muffing a punt that RU scored the winning score with 3:24 left. Connor Halliday threw for 532 yards completing 40-of-56 passes with five TD’s on the night. Next up for Washington State is a trip to Reno against Nevada (1-0) 9/5 at 7:30 pm/ESPN

UC Davis Aggies (0-1) 0 @ 11 Stanford Cardinal (1-0) 45: While their names change the Cardinal defense remains stout plus suffocating holding UC Davis to 115 yards of offense. Stanford also got the lone shutout of the weekend among PAC-12 teams. However while forcing three turnovers they committed three of their own. Kevin Hogan threw for 204 yards on 12-of-16 passes plus three scores on the afternoon. Marcus Mariota threw for 267 yards on 14-of-20 passing with three scores and added 43 more via the ground scoring another TD. Byron Marshall had a huge night catching eight passes for 138 yards scoring twice then adding 90 more on eight carries which made him the leading rusher.
