Ben Edlund, creator and writer of “The Tick,” has confirmed last week’s report that a revival of the short-lived 2001 live-action series is in the works.
Edlund tweeted on Sunday: “Yes for now suffice it to say the dream of a new live-action Tick is being pursued with vigor #bringbackTheTick”
At the same time, The Wrap have confirmed that Patrick Warburton is set to reprise his role as the title character in a pilot for Amazon’s online streaming service.
They say Warburton worked out a deal with Sony Television, who have held the rights since the show’s 2001 cancellation, to bring back the beloved character.
