Luau To Benefit Wounded Warrior Project

Guest Post by Brittany Winter

On a day of remembrance, Long Island companies team up to give back to our nation's bravest.

On September 11th, 2014 The Sporting News Grill and BluChip marketing will be collaborating to throw a Summer Luau party to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Party is expected to bring in hundreds of business owners, community members, and local Veterans from all parts of Long Island to help raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and celebrate those who have sacrificed their well being to preserve our nation's freedoms.

The Sporting News Grill will leave no stone unturned when it comes to the atmosphere. Stepping through the doors of the Westbury restaurant and on to its outdoor patio, will transport guests to a Hawaiian Island, as hula and fire dancers entertain, tiki huts serve delicious food, and live music keeps the mood fun and relaxed. Outdoor tiki huts and bar areas are being built solely for the big event, and sand is being brought in to cover the patio area, keeping up with the luau theme.

Georgi Vodka, upon hearing about the event immediately offered assistance in both product donation and services, and many local shops followed suit, offering specialty goods as part of the gift bags to be raffled off and given to guests.

"The Holiday Inn Westbury and the Sporting News Grill believe in giving back to the community. Being that we're in the hospitality industry we know that helping take care of others is an important role and responsibility. We want to give back to those that have made great sacrifices on all of our behalves. Our veterans are our everyday real-life heroes. We know we can never truly repay them, but we think that showing them we care is the least we can do. I personally invite all to attend and make contributions big and small to support our troops and reach out to them with our helping and giving hands. We look forward to working closely with Blu-Chip Marketing as well as other working partners to help make a significant contribution and impact. I ask those that may have services and goods to contribute and donate to contact Blu Chip Marketing direct. Monetary donations and raffle prizes will assist us in reaching our goal that evening. We want attendees to have a lot of fun, but we also want all to help with the cause as much as they can."

This event is the culmination of an overwhelming desire by the Sporting News Grill and BluChip to celebrate, thank, and give back to our troops on this September 11th.

There was no question that The Wounded Warrior Project would be the choice organization to give all proceeds to and having them on board will ensure a day of remembrance is one worth remembering.
