Oregon Ducks Home, Autzen Stadium Enhances Gameday Experience for 2014

The Oregon Ducks have had a successful team on the field of late and the fan experience has been somewhat lacking as far as being able to share information using your phone, in the stadium, during the game – or make that call about the amazing touchdown. That is about to change along with several other noticeable improvements in and around Autzen Stadium for the 2014 season.

First, the stadium recently underwent an upgrade to handle more wireless calls, in fact enough to handle all 60,000 fans watching the game in person. Autzen has been around for forty seven years and a new Distributed Antenna System from both AT&T and Verizon Wireless will make the fan experience more enjoyable. The surrounding sports complex including the soccer field and PK Park, where the Oregon Ducks play baseball will also benefit from the upgraded service.

In the offseason the stadium also received a new ‘wrap’ on the inside. The slogan is still ‘Win the Day’, but the new look is more sleek. Autzen also received an upgrade to the smaller video board on the North side of the stadium. Last season the Oregon Ducks overhauled an entire side of Autzen Stadium installing new trees, waterfalls, and a new way to celebrate wins with victory posts that adorn one side of the stadium.

The new service will get its first test of the season on Saturday as fans enter Autzen Stadium to see the Oregon Ducks take on the South Dakota Coyotes in an evening contest starting at 7:30pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks.
