CLEVELAND, Ohio – From high-end Champagne to Les Roberts being featured at a special event to a meal paired with Ohio wines, our calendar of wine tastings and dinners has news about upcoming events:

Wednesday, Aug. 20: Regency Wine Bar is having what it bills as a "high-end grower Champagne tasting" 6-8 p.m. Cost is $25 plus tax and tip; reservations required. Six to eight wines being poured are not available in Ohio, so the folks at the wine store and bar say this is the only chance to taste and order them. Bottle prices of each start at $60. Monday, Aug. 25: Grovewood Tavern will welcome Dante Pozzan of Michael Pozzan Winery. The California winemaker's family has roots that date to Italy's Piedmont region. Michael Pozzan Winery, founded in 1991, produces 95,000 cases a year. Wines at this dinner: Dante 2012 Pinot Grigio, Dante 2012 Chardonnay, Dante 2010 Merlot, Dante 2010 red blend (Zinfandel and Syrah), 2010 "Sailor's Grave" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 Reserve Moscato. Tuesday, Aug. 26: A five-course Castello Banfi wine dinner and book signing featuring local author Les Roberts is scheduled for Corleone's Ristorante, 5669 Broadview Road, Parma.
