The Oregon Ducks Basketball team has not had a good year so far. Following the news of an abuse scandal from three players that were dismissed from the team and the University of Oregon, Head Coach Dana Altman was forced to look at pretty much rebuilding his team. Some recruits stayed away and some continued with their commitment to the University of Oregon. Now comes word that one of those student athletes, 3-star Power Forward Ray Kasongo has been denied admission to the U of O.

So much for rebuilding for the 2014 season. Kosongo could have filled a key role this season but now will look elsewhere to play, according to a report from DuckTerritory.com and Yahoo! Sports. Another recruit 4-star JaQuan Lyle was also coveted by the Oregon Ducks and continued with his commitment to the basketball program, but there is no word of his admission status as of this report. Currently he is not enrolled. This is not good news for a program that was looking to remain competitive in the Pac-12 Conference this season with Senior Joseph Young leading the team.

However with recent events involving Damyean Dotson, Dominic Artis and Brandon Austin begin accused of rape in the Spring and being dismissed from the program it appears that Altman may have to be a miracle worker to have enough bodies to make up a team for the upcoming season, which is quickly approaching.
