Bleacher Report Predicts Coaches Poll, Oregon Ducks in a Familiar Spot

A new era in College Football is about to begin and as the folks at Bleacher Report are reporting there is a new sponsor for the Coaches Poll in Amway, however that will likely be the only change as the way the poll is calculated will remain the same. If their Preseason Top 25 prediction rings true the Oregon Ducks will start the season is a prime position for the first season of the College Football Playoff.

Oregon is slated in the third spot right behind Alabama at number two and reigning National Champion Florida State in the number one slot. Returning players are the key for Oregon being slotted so high according to Bleacher Report with Quarterback Marcus Mariota, Center Hroniss Grasu and Cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu all coming back to play another season in Eugene. Several other Pac-12 teams also made the list in their Amway Preseason Coaches Poll Prediction.

The UCLA Bruins are at seven, followed by Stanford at 12, USC at 15, and Washington at 19. In many of the polls I have seen this season UCLA is ranked ahead of Stanford. It should be an interesting season to watch how things come together for the Bruins and the Cardinal. One team that will see the Oregon Ducks early in the season made the Top 10 in Michigan State entering at number eight.

The Oregon Ducks kick off the regular season on Saturday, August 30th hosting South Dakota at Autzen Stadium. Gametime is slated for 7:30pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks.
