Oregon Baseball takes on Arizona at PK Park, KPNWSports

The Oregon Baseball team had a non-conference game with Pacific on Tuesday night and it was more like batting practice for the Oregon Ducks Offense. Oregon Catcher Shawn Chase hit two home runs including a grand slam in the 14-8 victory. For the game he went two for five with five RBI’s and a run scored as the Ducks Offense took early control with a 9-2 lead by the bottom of the fourth. Mitchell Tolman went one for four with two RBI’s and two runs scored. However, it was pitching that was a slight concern during the game.

Oregon Starting Pitcher Porter Clayton did get the win after giving up five runs(four earned) and four hits. He walked five and struck out a batter for the victory. As mentioned, it was the Oregon Ducks Offense that found a quick one game tuneup before re-entering Pac-12 Play this weekend. For the game the Oregon Ducks had seven stolen bases and the George Horton’s team had five batters hit by Pacific Pitching. The team now heads south for a road trip against UCLA.

Games this weekend are on Friday(7pm), Saturday(7pm) and Sunday(12 noon). The Oregon Ducks then return home for one game with Oregon State next Tuesday(7pm).
