LG Launches the Optimus One and Optimus Chic Android 2.2 Smartphones

If Samsung has fascinated us with the recently released Samsung Fascinate running on Android 2.2, LG is not going to take this just sitting down. And so LG Korea has just officially launched not just one but two new Android 2.2 smartphones – the LG Optimus One and LG Optimus Chic. With Android 2.2, both LG Optimus One and LG Optimus Chic earned the honor of getting the latest Android OS upon launch. This also ensures that you’d get one of the fastest and smoothest internet browsing, web page loading and a slew of other nifty features that Froyo brings to Android phones. Both new Android phones can be used as mobile Wi-Fi hotspots for sharing 3G connection. And of course, both devices will enjoy the slew of Google services such as Maps, Voice, Goggles, Shopper as well as full access to more than 80,000 Android apps. When it comes to features and specs, the LG Optimus One sports a 3.2-inch wide HVGA screen, 1500mAh capacity battery, touch-sensitive buttons, and the will be loaded with the LG App Advisor and LG UI. Plus it also comes packed with a carkit cradle. The LG Optimus Chic on the other hand comes in two-color variants, touch-sensitive buttons, wireless sync through LG Air Sync and it is compatible with DLNA which allows you to share multimedia content from the phone to your DNLA-compatible TVs, AV systems and laptop computers. The LG Optimus One will be available in Europe this coming October, while the LG Optimus Chic come one month later in November. Other international markets will follow soon thereafter.
