Notes: Blatche hurts hip; D-Will struggles

NEW YORK -- Brooklyn Nets reserve Andray Blatche was forced to leave Friday night's 120-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second half because of a bruised left hip. Blatche injured himself in the first half and went to the locker room.

"I tried to come back out [in the second half] and play but couldn't do it," he said. "It just got worse. I tried to get it loose, but it wouldn't work out for me."

Blatche was walking with a noticeable limp in the locker room. He said he will travel with the team to Indiana, but it's unknown if he'll play Saturday night. He will not require an MRI exam or X-rays.

"It swelled up right now, just a little sore," he said. "Hopefully it's nothing serious, hopefully I can get treatment and play tomorrow."

Andrei Kirilenko missed his 27th game of the season because of a sore right calf. The Nets missed his defense, as Kevin Durant lit them up, scoring 26 points in 31 minutes.

"We definitely miss AK when he's not out there," Deron Williams said. "I don’t know [if he would’ve made up the] 30-point difference, but we definitely need him out there."

Nets coach Jason Kidd said he'd see how both players felt Saturday before making a determination about their status.

• Williams struggled in his sixth game coming off the bench, dishing out only one assist to four turnovers.

But Kidd said -- at least as of Friday night -- he planned to stick with the same starting lineup of Shaun Livingston, Alan Anderson, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, despite the team losing back-to-back games.

"I'm just going with the flow," Williams said.

• Garnett (0-for-4) did not score in a game in which he has played for the first time this season.

• The Nets finished January with a 10-3 record, their best January winning percentage in the team's NBA history (38 years). Kidd certainly is a strong candidate to capture Eastern Conference Coach of the Month honors.
