Oregon Ducks vs Colorado: Three Things We Should See

facebooktwitterreddit

I wrote earlier this week that this game between the Oregon Ducks and the Colorado Buffaloes was not a good statistical matchup. Colorado is a program that is still going to have  some  growing pains and from what the folks in Las Vegas are saying there may be a lot of them. Last week Colorado was away facing Oregon State and lost 44-17 – of course Oregon is no Oregon State when it comes to either side of the ball so expect a beatdown tomorrow.

Here are some things to look for from Folsom Field tomorrow.

Bralon Addison Continues to be a (Special Teams) Player

After two electrifying runbacks off punts for scores against Cal last weekend I expect Oregon Ducks Wide Receiver Bralon Addison to continue to be back getting punts for a while – or at least until De’Anthony Thomas returns. I can also see him returning one for sure for a score against Colorado.

Marcus Mariota Will Pass for Three Touchdowns and Run For Another

We saw what he did last weekend in not so great and monsoon like conditions at Autzen Stadium. I expect he will continue to make the Duck offense go and this one will be put away early. Colorado will have to play a perfect game on both sides of the ball (and special teams) to have a chance. The Oregon Ducks right now has all the playmakers on Offense.

Oregon’s Defense Will Get At Least Two Interceptions

Oregon has yet to throw an interception in 2013 and Colorado’s Quarterback Connor Wood has already tossed four to the opposing team (he had eight touchdowns on the season.) Look for Oregon Cornerback Ifo Ekpre Olomu to get a look at picking off at least one. If Colorado gets down to Oregon early in the game, they will throw the ball that much more.

Oregon and Colorado kick off on Saturday at 3pm PT on Pac 12 Networks.
