  • BAL Starting Pitcher #68
Wells was scheduled to start Wednesday’s series finale against the Twins, so Baltimore will have to make a roster move to bring up a spot starter to take the ball in his absence. No word yet on how long the 29-year-old righty will be sidelined, but there should be some clarity on his status in the coming days. He’s struggled to an inflated 5.87 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 13/3 K/BB ratio across 15 1/3 innings (three starts) this season.
  • OAK Center Fielder #1
It’s a head-scratcher for sure, especially since Ruiz came off the bench to launch a solo homer on Monday in his return to the big leagues. It’ll be JJ Bleday continuing to start in center field with Lawrence Butler and Seth Brown in the corners. The 25-year-old speedster figures to get his opportunity at some point, but he appears locked into a bench role at the moment, which certainly diminishes his immediate fantasy impact potential.
  • LAD Center Fielder #84
Pages is in center field and batting seventh on Tuesday night in his major-league debut facing Nationals southpaw Patrick Corbin. The 23-year-old top prospect tore the cover off the ball for Triple-A Oklahoma City, batting .371 (23-for-62) with five homers and two steals in 15 contests, to earn an early-season promotion to the majors. There’s definitely some immediate appeal here for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues given his power ceiling, but he’ll likely wind up batting towards the bottom of Los Angeles’ loaded lineup moving forward.
  • MIL Right Fielder #22
Yelich finally lands on the injured list after sitting out three straight contests due to back discomfort. The 32-year-old outfielder will get some additional time off the rest and recover from his latest back issue with the hope that it doesn’t become a lingering concern moving forward. He was off to a really nice start at the dish early on this season, batting .333 (13-for-39) with seven runs scored, five homers, 11 RBI and two steals through 11 games. He’s not expected to require a lengthy absence and figures to return to Milwaukee’s lineup before the end of April.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #35
Verlander completed a bullpen session on Tuesday without any issues and will officially take the ball later this week in Washington for his highly-anticipated season debut. The 41-year-old righty was brought along slowly this spring after dealing with a shoulder issue, but is finally ready to return to Houston’s starting rotation. There are some obvious durability and workload concerns for Verlander moving forward, but he’s likely to make a significant impact for fantasy managers when healthy.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #38
Bradish will kick off a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday night as he continues to make his way back from an offseason right UCL sprain. The 27-year-old right-hander is expected to rejoin Baltimore’s starting rotation mix at some point in early May after making a couple rehab starts to build up his pitch count and stamina. He’s likely stashed in all competitive fantasy formats at this juncture, but should be rostered in any league where he’s available.
  • ATL Center Fielder #23
Harris has been bumped up to the second spot in Atlanta’s loaded lineup with Ozzie Albies landing on the injured list with a fractured right big toe after batting in the lower third of the order at the outset of the year. The move should boost his run totals for the next few weeks and should also lead to more RBI opportunities with Ronald Acuña Jr. getting on-base ahead of him. The 23-year-old fantasy standout is off to a strong start this season, batting .290 (18-for-62) with nine runs scored, two homers, eight RBI and one steal in 15 games.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher #59
Duran completed another bullpen session on Tuesday and will progress to facing hitters later this week for the first time since landing on the injured list last month with a right oblique strain. Barring any setbacks, the hard-throwing 26-year-old closer has a shot at making it back to Minnesota’s bullpen before the end of April, if not sooner.
  • BOS Right Fielder #17
It’s an extremely encouraging update, all things considered. Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters that O’Neill will sit out on Tuesday and Wednesday against the Guardians, but might have a chance to return for Thursday’s series finale. The 28-year-old outfielder received eight stitches following an on-field collision with teammate Rafael Devers during Monday’s Patriots Day matinee at Fenway Park, but appears to have avoided serious injury. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
  • TB Right Fielder #15
Lowe landed on the shelf back in mid-March with a right oblique strain and isn’t expected to need too much time at Triple-A Durham after getting into a pair of rehab contests this week already for Tampa Bay’s Rookie-Level Florida Complex League affiliate. The 26-year-old power/speed combo outfielder should be ready to return at some point later this week, if not sooner.
