Moussa Sissoko was due to fly into Newcastle tonight to tie up his move from Toulouse.
The box to box midfielder's move has been confirmed by Toulouse and the transfer should be completed tomorrow.
Sissoko was due to join the Magpies in the summer but as we reported on Tuesday the move was brought forward.
A statement from Toulouse said: "Moussa Sissoko is leaving his hometown club, Toulouse FC, to join Newcastle."
Sissoko joins for a knockdown fee believed to be worth £1.8million.
