Product description

P!nk joined forces with producer Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foster The People & The Shins) for the very first time, along with long time collaborators Max Martin, Shellback, Billy Mann and Butch Walker. She also worked with songwriter/producer Dan Wilson (Adele’s "Someone Like You" and Dixie Chicks). The album is P!nk’s unique take on the different shades of love--the dark, the light, the happy and the sad. Lead single "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" is produced by Kurstin.
This is her sixth album following
Can’t Take Me Home (2000), M!ssundaztood (2001), Try This (2003), I’m Not Dead (2006), Funhouse (2008), and a Greatest Hits… So Far!!! (2010).

And no, I'm not talking about Britney... It's funny to think how Pink was once only a small shadow on Britney's world-wide domination and now almost no one remembers her once competitor. I guess for once the world has been fair and it paid out to stick to your guns and have vocal abilities instead of putting out endlessly auto-tuned "hits" that someone else pens for you. As Pink herself said way back in "Don't let me get me": <<LA (as in LA Reid) told me "you'll be a pop star, all you have to do is change everything you are". Tired of being compared to dam* Britney Spears, she's so pretty, that just ain't me.>> Well, Pink, to me you've turned out not just pretty but beautiful on the inside and outside, and I say inside because she always seems to be letting us into her life with her songs.

To me Pink is the greatest singer-songwriter in the pop charts during the last decade, and she has released another great album. Growing up, without losing her foul-mouth call-it-like-I-see-it attitude, definitely suits her. Her staples are all there: party bar anthems (Blow me one last kiss, Slut like you), catchy upbeat make-you-smile mid-tempos (How come you're not here, True love) and devastatingly heartfelt ballads (Try, Just give me a reason, Beam me up).

This time, however, she's included some collaborations: with Nate Ruess from Fun on "Just give me a reason", with Lily Rose Cooper (aka Lilly Allen) on "True love" and with Eminem in "Here comes the weekend". To me, but this is probably a personal bias, the first two turn out fantastic, the third one not so much, the song is a bit grating to me.

    As a summary:
    - Please don't leave this page without listening to: "Just give me a reason", "Try", "True love" and "Blow me one last kiss.
    - You could probably skip: "Here comes the weekend"
    - All other songs in the albums are well worth buying it

Let's hope she keeps albums like this coming...

Yet another GREAT album from the one and only P!nk! I have always loved P!nk, but like the rest of my music, nowadays, I like to listen to a few tracks, mull it over and then I MAY decide to buy! - I listened to 2 songs of this album via YouTube and had to buy it! It was yet another good decision concerning P!nk! It has slow songs, songs you can relate to, songs you find yourself singing along to (or trying to) this album hasn't been off since purchase! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if your a P!nk fan, recommended if your not! (Because it is explicit, I wouldn't recommend driving with it on in the middle of the school run - especially when it shuffled to 'Slut like you'... Thankfully I was at a red light and could turn it off quickly! lol!

This is a stunning album, possibly her best yet which in my book is saying something. A tad more rocky than recent albums, and all the better for it, but packed full of her trademark catchy hooks ands riffs. Displays a wider vocal range than heard before, proving this girl can really sing (as anyone who's seen her live will testify). At times I thought it was someone else singing, only to find on some tracks it was! Difficult to pick out favourite tracks, the standard is so consistently high. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed.
Minor moan - the needless and repetitive swearing is a tad tedious, and might limit accessibility to a wider audience. Don't know if there's a 'clean version' on sale?

Although I love the CD, I do not like one song on it. Slut like you. I had the CD on when my son (10 years old) was with me, and I swear but that song is so crude, I think people should be warned not to play it when children are about.
I love Pink and I usually think she gets the level of aggression and swearing right enough to get her point across, but I think that song should not be on an album, it is for late night TV and should be released as a single only.
When I play the CD now, I am waiting for the song before it and quickly move it on to the next song, especially when my son is there.
    Otherwise a fantastic CD.

Like all the best music, this just gets better and better with every listen. There is quite a range of musical styles here , all with the unmistakable and brilliant Pink style , including three duets which all work brilliantly - 'Just Give me a Reason' is a particularly catchy song and the track I found myself singing away to first. 'Slut Like You' is fun, earthy, catchy , powerful- great music, and The Truth About Love' grows on you with every listen - and features some amazing, almost operatic, vocals. But really there are no filler tracks - at least not after a few listens.

If you have liked anything Pink has done - you really should get this - it won't be a disappointment

A really great album, from a really special artist.

P!nk is my favorite artist, and with all the garbage that is being released by people today I'm so glad P!nk remains true to her style and continues to write incredible songs. I was waiting a long time for this album, and I have to admit when I first listened to the tracks...I wasn't sure. However that said after a couple of listens, it has to be one of my favorite albums of 2012. 'Just Give Me A Reason', 'Try', 'True Love' and 'Walk Of Shame' stand out for me...such a great album. Even if your not that much of a fan just give it a try, you wont regret it!

How Come You're Not Here? , Beam Me Up , Where Did the Beat Go? Grazie Amazon e grazie P!nk
