The X Factor Ratings Continue To Slide... But Caroline Flack's Popularity Is Rising
Hot weather added to The X Factor's woes last night, as viewers opted to enjoy the amazing sunshine rather than sit in front of the TV.
The talent show attracted 7.7 million viewers, almost 3 million down on the equivalent episode from 2011.
With half a million tuned in on ITV1+1, the show appealed to around 8.2 million fans overall... but was still the most-watched show of the day.

Doctor Who also suffered, with new episode 'Dinosaurs on a Spaceship' appealing to 5.48 million.
But despite the main show's woes, analysts have noted that, interestingly, ITV2 spin-off The Xtra Factor is seeing its audience numbers INCREASE every week.
Last night the show topped the 1 million mark, appaling to 1.08m from 9pm.
Caroline Flack's show, which will be co-hosted by Olly Murs later in the series, is proving to be a hit with fans, showing that her popularity is back on the rise following the backlash around her Harry Styles romance. Yaaay!
