- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 December 2013This is another great album from this Irish band. It is one that I find myself listening to on a daily basis. If you are the type that likes to hear alternative types of music rather than the manufactured rubbish in the charts, you won't be disappointed with this album. A great band that will hopefully soon make it big outside of Ireland too.
Product was in very good condition and came within a fairly decent timeframe.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 September 2012I loved Tourist History and I think Two Door's second album Beacon is amazingly just as good. Such catchy songs and beautiful vocals from Alex. Every song grows on you with each play, my favourites being "wake up", "Someday" and "Sun" but really there are no weak tracks on this album. Cannot recommend this enough, it's my album of the year so far - buy it!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 November 2012I love two-door cinema club. Being from Northern Ireland benefits the overall sound they have produced. They have created a new sound as most singers sing in an American accent but it is refreshing to hear them.
Their music is like a drug you have to listen to it and when you’re not you are thinking about listening to it. I love it!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 September 2012although a very good album, I did not think it was as good as their excellent first album.I bought the deluxe version which had the live at Brixton concert on it. This had a couple of the new tracks mixed in with some off "The Tourist History album." You would have to go some anyway to beat the excellent first album.Still some very good tracks on the new album. Not saying its a bad album, just not as good as the first but still worth buying if you are a big Two Door Cinema Club fan.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 June 2014Buy it! Buy it!! Buy it!!! But get the Deluxe version which has their Live in Brixton album!! I thank the day my son introduced me to TDCC. Hey I'm 58 and have never been so impressed by any band, ever! These guys are amazing. Put it on repeat & just leave it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 January 2013Beacon does not hit the highs of Tourist History but is a pleasant second album. Whilst Tourist History had an immediate impact, Beacon is something of a "grower". Many second albums signal the end for a lot of bands, but this certainly does not. Onwards and upwards for Trimble & Co.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 April 2013I loved TDCC's previous album so didn't hesitate to buy this when it was released, and I wasn't disappointed. There is a great mix of their more up-tempo songs and a few really beautiful ballard-types too. Another one that I'll have on constant play in my car.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 November 2013My daughters love this group and I am taking them to their concert in December so to get in tune and familiar I bought this cd I really like it looking forward to singing along with all the words xxx

5.0 out of 5 stars Both Discs Are Great!
I like Tourist History a bit better, but this album is solid and progressive. The live disc that comes with this set is really good. I saw these guys live in Austin, and their sound live is just as good as it is in the studio. Amazing! Check it out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Conferme assolute
Amazon impeccabile come sempre.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Sophomore Entry
I remember when I listened to Two Door Cinema Club for the first time. It was their song "Eat That Up, It's Good For You". I was immediately in love with the lyrical aspects and musical aspects of the song, I was so interested in hearing more from them, and after I listened to Tourist History from beginning to end, I immediately realized; I love every single song that TDCC has to offer. Two Door Cinema Club became my favorite band.
Now when I learned that a second record was in the works. I was thrilled, I couldn't wait, and I patiently anticipated the day I could get my hands on it, with just a slight bit of fear that it wouldn't live up to their amazing debut album. But let me just say that I was not disappointed in the least. Right away from the first track "Next Year"(one of my new favorites) I picked up on what the album was going to be like. This Album is a lot more mature, more serious, more developed. Its as if the first CD was all about being as interesting and fun as possible, all to find out what exactly the band wanted to sound like. And in this album, they have truly discovered the tone and the complexity that their music deserves. The lyrics this time around are a lot deeper and sentimental, they have more obvious emotional background, but this isnt a bad thing, the music fits perfectly with the words and this time around I feel like there is a lot more attention on Alex Trimble's beautiful voice, and with good reason. His voice is memorizing throughout the entire album. Some songs were definitely more complex, catchy, and unique than others, but the overall feel and atmosphere of the album is apparent and TDCC pulls off an amazing listening experience from beginning to end. I'll admit that it took me more than one listen to truly appreciate this album, because the first time I was a bit skeptical about the new more mature sounding type of music, but after 2 listens I understood what TDCC was doing with this album and it became easy to fall in love with every song on the album. This is sincerely amazing work from an amazingly talented band that I continue to love. Alex, Sam, and Kevin have certainly proved themselves to be serious and downright brilliant with what they do. This album is MUST for anyone who enjoyed any of TDCC's previous work. Two Door Cinema Club has really given fans an amazing treat with this sophomore album. I cannot wait to see the incredible work that im sure will continue to come in the future from this near perfect band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un disco maravilloso
Totalmente recomendable!
