Rory McIlroy to play BMW Masters instead of Bermuda Grand Slam

US PGA winner Rory McIlroy is to miss the Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda in October because of a clash of dates.
The world number one from Northern Ireland had already committed to the European Tour's BMW Masters in China.
The Grand Slam is a 36-hole strokeplay event which usually brings together the winners of the year's four majors.
Keegan Bradley, who won last year's Grand Slam, will replace McIlroy when it is staged at Bermuda's Port Royal Golf Course on 23 and 24 October.
Fellow Americans Bubba Watson, who won this year's Masters, US Open champion Webb Simpson and South African Ernie Els, who clinched the Open at Lytham, complete the elite four-man field.
The Grand Slam of Golf was held in Hawaii from 1991 to 2006 before moving to Bermuda in 2007.
The BMW Masters, which was added to the European Tour schedule in April, will be played at Lake Malaren Golf Club in Shanghai from 25-28 October.
McIlroy will also skip the 4-7 October Alfred Dunhill Links Championship for the first time in his professional career.
He is scheduled to join Tiger Woods in the lucrative eight-man Turkish Airlines World Golf Final, which runs from 9-12 October.
