Lucy Spraggan has shot to fame by performing on  'The X Factor', and it seems the Yorkshire lass is keen to work with another of the series' discoveries, boy band One Direction.

The singer told Digital Spy: "Of course I'd love a collaboration with One Direction. I'd love to work with any of these people. To do anything like that would just be incredible. To be in this situation is really hard to take in.

"But the One Direction boys are lovely. Of course I'd work with them."

The lads tweeted support for the singer, who wowed audiences on Saturday night.

The singer, who's openly gay, has said that she hopes the show finds her a girlfriend. At least it'll mean that crazed Directioners won't see her as stealing the boys if she did work with the lads.

X Factor stars Little Mix of course contain Geordie girl Perrie Edwards, who has received hateful tweets after dating Zayn Malik.

Spraggan shot to fame on the show by performing 'Last Night', which immediately shot up the iTunes chart before being removed to avoid giving the contestant an unfair advantage.

The likes of Frankie Coccoza and Alex Reid have all tweeted their love for Spraggan.
