Lesbian X Factor Hopeful On The Hunt For A Girlfriend

Lucy Spraggan maybe an overnight sensation, but the teen is just ike any other girl of age, as she wants to sort out her love life.

The singer, who came out as a lesbian at age 14, was seen on Saturday's show where she performed a self-written track Last Night, a song about her antics whilst drunk.

She is now hoping that her brilliance on the telly will get her a bird, sayig: “X Factor must do wonders for your love life," adding,  "Girls do love girls with guitars.”

Lucy, 20, also revealed how delighted her mum was when she told her she was gay as it made her feel "cool".

According to The Metro she said: "My mum loves gay people, she thinks she’s part of the cool club now. But grandad only found out I was gay on Google."

She's incredibly hit number 2 in the iTunes chart and Lucy's song was such a smash with judges and audiences alike on Saturday she’s now a star.

Given previous exploits of X Factor contestants, she shouldn’t have much trouble pulling.

For example Frankie Cocozza was utterly appalling as a singer, yet his appearance on the show allowed him to add further names to his daft bum tattoo.

The ITV1 show has catapulted her to fame, although audiences will have to wait to see if she makes the live shows.

The singer from the steel city released the track, which she told the judges was about 'beer fear'  on download in 2011, Lucy even impressed guest judge Mel B, who has a reputation for being incredibly harsh. However one question remains, is she a Wednesday or United fan?

The former Spice Girl said of her performance: "I absolutely loved it! You don’t know how great you are - and that’s what’s endearing as well, you’ve got like a little bit of vulnerability about you, be confident, you are brilliant!"

Tulisa added: "You have completely and utterly got me sold, that song there is going straight on my ipod."

Given her backstory, she’s surely a shoo-in for the later rounds.
