As the start of the new series of the X Factor draws closer, the judges have started to open up about what to expect, with Louis Walsh being the exception of course!

Because the judge, who has been on the show since it began, has branded his co-judge Tulisa Contostavlos as a "chav in a tracksuit".

Speaking to the Radio Times ahead of the Saturday night's series nine launch, the judge who has hinted that his time on the show might be up, said of Tulisa, whose category won last year when Little Mix won the most votes:

“She thinks she’s a bigger star than she actually is...She is a bit rough round the edges and when they announced she was on the panel I was expecting a chav in a tracksuit — which is what we got. But she’s a lot of fun.”

The judge also spoke about the impact the show has had since Simon Cowell decided to leave and appear as a judge on the US version of thw show.

He continued: "It’s suffered without Simon — it’s like the Rolling Stones without Mick Jagger.

"Last year Tulisa and Gary were thrown in at the deep end and we struggled a bit but this year they're stronger."

Having already taken a pop at Tulisa, Louis then took a pop at BBC rival TV talent show, The Voice by saying:

“It was no fun. I don’t know what Tom Jones was doing on that show because he was lost.”

The new series looks set to be interesting!
