X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger reportedly wants Tinie Tempah to join her for the Judges' Houses stage of this year's competition.
Scherzinger - who replaced Kelly Rowland on the ITV1 show after a year on its American counterpart - is believed to have been given the boys category, although this has not been confirmed.
"While [Nicole] prides herself on being able to spot male talent, she knows having a bloke at her side will help," a source told The Sun.
"Bosses have come up with several options but Tinie is the one she is keen on, so hopefully he will be free."
Show producers are also thought to have recommended 50 Cent, Professor Green and Labrinth to the former Pussycat Dolls singer.
Scherzinger was joined by Enrique Iglesias at the Judges Houses stage for The X Factor USA's first season.
She was given the Over 30s category on that occasion, and mentored Josh Krajcik to second place on the Fox show last December.
