Stars Tweet Support For Gary Barlow After Baby Heartbreak

Celebrities have offered their sympathies to Gary Barlow and his wife Dawn, after he announced that their daughter Poppy was stillborn on Saturday.

Earlier this evening, he released a statement saying "Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we’ve lost our baby. Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn on August 4th in London. Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts. We’d ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected."

Following the announcement, Twitter has been flooded by messages of sympathy from fans and celebrities.

Fellow The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has said "My thoughts & prayers are with @GBarlowOfficial and wife dawn tonight. Heartbreaking x"

X Factor contestant Marcus Collins, was mentored by Gary, sent him this message: "@GBarlowOfficial Cant even begin to imagine what you, Dawn & the kids r going through..My whole family are sending love and support so sorry"

JLS, who are one of the most succesful acts ever to come from the show, said "We send our condolences to @GBarlowOfficial and his family during this tough time..our thoughts and prayers with you..Marv and the boys x"

Other celebrities also offered condolences, such as Una Healy from The Saturdays who said "My thoughts and prayers go out to @GBarlowOfficial and his wife and family such sad news RIP Poppy"

Superstar judge Andrew Lloyd Webber posted his own message, saying "Dearest Dawn & Gary, Madeleine & I are devastated about news of Poppy. Our thoughts & prayers are with you and your family. @GBarlowOfficial"
