Former X Factor star Kitty Brucknell has urged her Twitter followers to abuse a cold caller.
The singer posted the number of a "douchebag" salesman to her 89,000 followers, claiming that he had behaved rudely to her on the phone.
"This douchebag just called me trying to sell me a loan/double glazing/whatever," she wrote. "When I told him to get lost...he left an abusive message on my answerphone.
"SO....I ask all my divas to show him the same courtesy...#getyourownback."
Brucknell proceeded to retweet fan messages explaining what they had done to the caller and told one user that 'farting' down the phone was "encouraged".
She wrote later: "Omg Divas...your tweets make me laugh! We are an ARMY!!! ;-) keep em coming."
Brucknell, who finished seventh on last year's X Factor after struggling to find popularity with viewers, recently teased details of her new track 'Red Shoes'.
