'It's Pathetic': Shayne Ward Slams X Factor For Leaving Him Out Of 'Best Of' Promo

'The X Factor's' 2005 champion has blasted the show that gave him his five minutes of fame, after producers left him out of a new promo for the show.

A new series of adverts, subtitled 'Whose Time Is Now', for the next series of ITV's hit show features the success stories of the past eight years. The obvious ones are in there, from One Direction to Olly Murs, from year one's winner Leona Lewis right up to last year's champions Little Mix. Mysteriously though, Shayne has been left out of the glossy set of ads.

Following the snub, Shayne took this his Twitter page to get things of his chest:

"Just seen the new Xfactor promo video. Yet again it's like im being erased slowly from their history.Pathetic really Would love to know why?"

After receiving supportive messages from his 170,000 followers, Shayne later tweeted:

"Thank you to everyone who tweeted me nice messages.It just would've been nice to have been acknowledged."

"It was a big part of my life."

He may not have the riches and adoring fans of One Direction but Shayne did achieve some success of the back of his 2005 win. He's released three albums, including the most recent 'Obsession'. However, it was revealed back in April last year that Simon Cowell's Syco record label had made the decision not to renew his contract following poor sales of the record.

Shayne then decided to pursue a career in musical theatre and is currently starring as Stacee Jaxx, the same part played by Tom Cruise, in the West End production of' Rock Of Ages'. He will be returning to his first love though, recently announcing that when his contract with 'Rock Of Ages' ends in a couple of months, he will be returning to the studio to work on a new album.
