Xtra Factor host Olly Murs is starting to get a bit nervous about seeing his X Factor colleague, Nicole Scherzinger again because allegedly he has a bit of a soft spot for the gorgeous singer!

Due to his tour commitments, Murs was replaced by Westlife star Kian Eghan while he was away, but now's he back to co host the show with regular partner and Harry Styles conquest Caroline Flack! Mur's is especially nervous because last time he was a little bit hands on with Nicole when he gave her a lingering hug!

Speaking to The Sun he said: “She’s gorgeous. I remember hugging her for like the longest hug ever last year. I’m worried about meeting her because maybe she thinks I’m some stalker. She came on The Xtra Factor and I gave her this 50-second hug. She was like, ‘What is this guy doing?’ So I’m obviously a bit worried about meeting her again.”

Despite the butterflies, the 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer was glad Nicole is returning to the show on a permanent basis, saying: “I’m looking forward to going back. I think Nicole’s going to be brilliant. The whole panel will be great. Tulisa and Gary have both had that first year now — I think they’re going to be a lot more ruthless this year.”

Having been axed from US X Factor and with the recent stories in the press surrounding Lewis Hamilton and his late night hotel party with a gaggle of beauties, Scherzinger could do with some support , and according to Murs the move to the UK and reaction from fans has answered these calls

“There was some sort of criticism but I think the reception she’s getting here in the UK, from what Caroline’s been telling me, has been brilliant.”

Caroline has clearly been managing without her regular presenting partner, although Murs definitely sounds a little bit jealous he's been missing out on all the fun: “I’ve messaged her and she’s having a great time at boot camp. I don’t think she even misses me", he said.

“She’s having a great time with Kian and all the other artists that have come down and helped her out. “I hope she has missed me a little bit. I’m looking forward to coming back. “I’ve missed the show. I spoke to her the other night and I’ve really missed being a part of it.”

Scherzinger will be joining Tulisa Contostavalos, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow who was recently award an OBE for his involvement with the Diamond Jubilee, Murs said of the Take That star: “Gary deserves it. He is an incredible guy and I’m lucky that I get to work with him on The X Factor. To be in his company and speak to him on a regular basis... he’s a top, top guy. He’s been brilliant.”

We can't wait to catch the show! Can you?
