Two of Britain’s shining lights in the music industry are due to perform on Superstar , ITV’s latest talent show. Led by West End overlord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Superstar aims to find someone to fill the sandals of Jesus Christ in the forthcoming musical production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

The Take That favourite will perform with the final five contestants tonight (July 23) when the show returns at 9pm.

The biblical wannabes will sing while Barlow accompanies them on piano to what will presumably be a rousing performance of Take That hit ‘Greatest Day’.

Barlow recently collaborated with Lloyd-Webber to produce the Diamond Jubilee track ‘Sing’ which was released earlier in the year

With Monday covered, Dancing With The Star's Katherine Jenkins will perform on Tuesdays live semi final episode, so expect a show with plenty of star wattage and some cracking music.

We're sure the finalists will be on their best behaviour following the reports that the finalists have been given a 'booze ban' after they started to turn up to rehearsals hungover. A source told The Sun:

"For a show about finding the new Jesus Christ Superstar, some of the behaviour has been distinctly ungodly. The boys love their beer and with them all living together they were getting into big drinking sessions.

"Some of them have been whingeing that they are being worked too hard on the nightly series and were hitting the bottle to relax, but this is not on. If they win, they will be working all hours on the arena show so they have to get used to it."
