X Factor US Judge Demi Lovato: 'I'm Not Close To Selena Gomez Anymore'

It must be pretty hard to find time to see your friends if you're living the A-Lister life like Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez - and the pair have proved this to be true unfortunately, as Demi says they're 'not as close' anymore. Booo!

Demi has known BFF Selena since they first starred in TV show 'Barney & Friends' together as kids - but with both their extremely busy lifestyles, it's proven to be hard to catch up on a regular basis, it seems.

"Selena and I aren't as close as we used to be," Demi told Self.

"But she'll always have a place in my heart."

N'awwww. What with Demi and her recent position as US X Factor judge and Selena's movie roles / being a 'full time' girlf to superstar Justin Bieber, it must be tough.

However, Demi has said that she's loving every minute of her new TV role...

"I root for everyone. I mean, it's not the best feeling when you're watching someone and cringing," she said.

"But when a person's confidence is magnetic, I don't even have to hear her to think: "Oh, this girl has got something."'

Meanwhile, Demi also opened up about a more personal issue of her past - cutting herself, admitting that she had 'no fear' when she was doing it.

The star said: "There were times I felt so anxious, almost like I was crawling out of my skin – that if I didn’t do something physical to match the way I felt inside, I would explode. I cut myself to take my mind off that. I just didn’t care what happened. I had no fear."

Speaking about how she copes day-to-day, Demi added: "I make time for myself and meditate. I've spent the past two years getting over an eating disorder and issues like self-harming and bipolar disorder. I have to work on this stuff every day. I'm reminded of that whenever I eat or feel down."

We're glad Demi's feeling better now!
