X Factor USA's Demi Lovato proved to be a good role model yesterday when she refused a duo who rapped about drugs, to go through to the next round of the reality TV talent show.

According to E! Online, the star, who has talked candidly about her time in rehab, "wasn't having any of it" when the duo started to rap about bath salts - the powdered substance that has the same effect as crystal meth and cocaine.

Unhappy with the choice of topic the un-named duo decided to rap about at the auditions in Greensboro, N.C, a source said of Demi:

"She said 'It's really irresponsible to be rapping about drugs in front of kids'." Trying to explain their reasons, Demi retorted:

"You talked about bath salts, I heard you."

It is thought that the young judge then asked the hopefuls to leave the stage as the "rest of the judges completely backed her."
