The X Factor dream is over before it's even begun for girlband Quantro after one band member appeared in court over a GBH charge.

According to The Sun, the girlband impressed the judges at the Newcastle auditions  to make it through to the bootcamp. However, the girls (Carly Ahmad, Emily Dyson, Hannah Gray and Lucie Slater) have now been dropped from the competition after the X Factor bosses found out about Lucie.

It is believed that Lucie appeared in court shortly after auditioning and was charged with wounding with intent to cause GBH after a DJ, William Scott Aitken, reportedly needed medical treatment after the reported altercation last month.

Revealing that the band are "heartbroken" about being axed from the show, band member Hannah said: “We got fantastic comments from the judges and we are just heartbroken. We have worked so hard to get to where we are.”

The hopeful also revealed the band would continue with Lucie, adding: "We can’t thank people enough for their support and that’s why the band is going to carry on.”

Referring to the band's axing, a spokesperson for the X Factor explained to the publication that it was too far in the competition for the band to continue as a three-piece, before welcoming them to audition next year.
