Britney Spears may have retired from making music for a while but an unheard Britney song has reportedly emerged online today (July 5).

The track, which is believed to be titled 'Pleasure You', was recorded during a 2010 studio session and features vocals from former X Factor auditionee Don Philip.

The hopeful, who was unsuccessful on the reality show, posted the track on his SoundCloud page. He took to his Facebook account following his X Factor appearance to take a dig at Spears.

He wrote: "Back to real life… all my demons released… i totally crocked when the pressure was on… at least I didnt shave my head… my vocal chords tightened up like a snake around a mouse."

Britney Spears' last album Femme Fatale was released in 2011 but was slated by critics.

Meanwhile, if you though Simon Cowell was the serious one on the X Factor USA panel, you better think again after the media mogul revealed that new judge Britney Spears is taking her role as a judge on the show, "really seriously".

Speaking to People magazine about his fellow judge, who has had to deal with the rumours that she is not coping on the show, Simon said: "She's not on the show to be Britney Spears on a TV show. She's actually there to prove to the world there's more to her, and she's got the ability to do this job really well. She's taken the role really seriously."
